A relaxed tailored jacket inspired by traditional American sack tailoring, cut with a straighter body and natural unpadded shoulders for an easier, less formal fit.
The shoulder is constructed with a spalla camicia, borrowing from Neapolitan tailoring to create a softer sleeve head and more natural line. Cut in a grey and ecru multi colour gunclub check, it is finished with three patch pockets, working cuffs and a throat tab so the collar can be worn up when needed.
Contrast cord under the collar and considered internal details give the jacket a more utilitarian character without losing the feeling of proper tailoring.

DESIGNER’S NOTES
I wanted this to feel like the opposite of a stiff blazer. The body is straighter, the shoulder is softer and there is enough ease for the jacket to feel comfortable rather than overly tailored.
The starting point was the American sack jacket, but I liked the idea of combining that with a Neapolitan spalla camicia shoulder. They come from quite different tailoring traditions, but together they make the jacket feel much more relaxed and natural.
The internal cord, striped sleeve lining and herringbone tape are details you might not notice immediately, but they matter to me. I wanted the inside of the jacket to have as much character as the outside.
I also wanted this to be the kind of tailoring that looks better once it has been worn for a while rather than something that needs to stay perfectly pressed.
