Inspired by traditional carpenter trousers and the classic French Bleu de Travail, the Joiner’s Jacket takes the familiar chore coat and cuts it shorter and boxier for a more modern proportion.

Made in stretch cotton for comfort and ease of movement, it keeps the practical multi pocket character of workwear but with a cleaner, more considered silhouette. A convertible collar allows it to be worn open or fastened higher at the neck.

• Boxy cropped fit

DESIGNER’S NOTES

The starting point was the practicality of carpenter trousers and the simplicity of a traditional French chore jacket.

I wanted to keep that honest workwear character but change the proportion. Cropping the silhouette makes it feel much more contemporary and gives it a different relationship with trousers underneath, particularly anything with a higher rise or more volume.

The contrast herringbone tape inside is deliberately visible in places. It is functional reinforcement, but it also gives the inside of the jacket some of the character you normally only find in older workwear pieces.
