A down jacket with serious warmth, inspired by traditional hunting outerwear and reworked with a more modern, functional approach.

The outer is a heavy brushed cotton & nylon with a soft handle, lined in cotton and filled with 90% duck down and 10% duck feather for high insulation without unnecessary weight. Protected cord shoulder yokes, a rounded cord collar and throat tab reference traditional field jackets, while a detachable shearling alternative collar gives a warmer winter finish.

Side zip openings make the jacket easier to layer and move in, while internal shoulder straps allow it to be carried like a rucksack when you are indoors or on the move.

DESIGNER’S NOTES

I wanted this to take the language of a traditional hunting jacket and make it feel lighter and more versatile.

The cord shoulder yokes and rounded collar keep the fieldwear reference, but the down filling changes the way the jacket feels completely. It is warm without feeling bulky, and the side zips make it much easier to wear over heavier layers.

The internal shoulder straps are one of my favourite details. They let you take the jacket off and carry it on your back rather than over your arm, which feels simple but genuinely useful.
